I’m getting ready for spring. This has been such a mild winter that I have decided that it’s time to get ready to get the yard full of flowers, herbs and vegetables. Last year, Luke and I planted carrots from this little tiny seed strip and We babied them and watered and weeded. After all that work all summer, we never pulled them. I liked them in the ground so much I just left them. I don’t really like carrots that much anyway.. lol. Everything we planted did so well last year that I have decided that we are going the full monty this year.
It’s amusing to Me that Luke just goes along with whatever I suggest. He seems content to just go along with whatever direction I say the water flows. He and I love to putter around outside. I find watering the plants calming and almost a form of meditation. I think Luke and Jimmy might be coming to an end and having a garden will be helpful to him I think.
There was another time when asked if I had a hobby I went out hunting for one and came up with scrap booking which sent My family and friends into gales of laughter. I bought all the stuff and gathered pictures and Charles even bought Me a lil picturemate printer. The idea died one Saturday as I prepared to work on it and looked out across a table strewn with paper and stickers and scissors and scraped it all off into a bag and crammed it up into the top of My closet and went straight-away to climb in the bubble bath and drink a glass of wine. I decided that was a MUCH better past-time than clipping and glueing.
To this day, if Charles and I pass anything remotely resembling scrapbooking supplies he says something smart-assed like, “oh look Baby, do you need more scrapbook supplies for that bag up in your closet?” That is what I get for marrying an arrogant smart mouthed Dominant Brazilian that I cant beat up…. lol
