That false security is not only STUPID but it is dangerous. Those of us who really LIKE being able to make our own choices in life are in danger if we don’t pay attention to the quiet ones, slowly moving up the ranks and intent on making their way the ONE way.

In the months leading up to his move to Sirius radio, Howard Stern went a long way to expose the people and secret organizations that are out to make sure all of us, whether We like or not are good “God Fearin” Christians. Now, I know that Howard can be a pain in the ass, but he knows which people are trying to push their own agenda on us all. I first heard about Senator Sam Brownback, a Republican from Kansas, from Howard when he talked about a VERY secretive group called the “Fellowship”, or sometimes also known as “the Family” This ultra secretive but very powerful group is comprised of “cells” which were small groups of powerful people that shared the same agenda.. Sam Brownback shares a home with his “cell” members when in Washington.
“The Family was founded in Seattle in 1935 by Abraham Vereide, a Norwegian immigrant and traveling preacher who feared Socialist politicians were about to take over Seattle's municipal government. It organized breakfast prayers among politicians and businessmen, where the political agenda was anti-Communism and anti-union. By 1941, the organization had relocated to Washington, DC. In 1944 the name International Christian Leadership was adopted. In 1972, the decision was made to change the organization's name from International Christian Leadership to The Fellowship Foundation. It was at this time that the group's leaders decided to lower the Fellowship's public profile by decentralizing its leadership.” Read more about this scary organization at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fellowship.
They keep things close even living together…. ” Brownback even lived with other cell members in a million-dollar, red-brick former convent at 133 C Street that was subsidized and operated by the Fellowship. Monthly rent was $600 per man -- enough of a deal by Hill standards that some said it bordered on an ethical violation, but no charges were ever brought.” (From the article in last month Rolling Stone on Brownback.) It’s a MUST READ… you can find it here… http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/9178374/gods_senator.
Although I do remember Howard Stern talking about Brownback and “the family or the Fellowship”, I had forgotten about it until I read the article in last months Rolling Stone. I have to say, this article just scared the crap out of Me.
We need to read these exposé’s. We need to know what they are doing. Most of all We should be off our ass and working against them. We need to stop sitting on our lazy ass and saying.. oh shit your kidding and instead…. DO SOMETHING.
Find out who the liberal politicians are in your community and WORK to get them elected. The reason we are in this mess now is because we sat around did nothing to keep “Dubya” out of the White House in the first place. I’m not saying he is really behind this because he isn’t. He is certainly not smart enough. These people are driving the ultra conservative and even secretive religious right behind the scenes and they are VERY powerful people.
I lived in Louisiana for about 9 months last year and I can tell you that if they could, they would begin a religious “jehad” right here in the United States. I was so shocked at their ideas of bringing everyone under the wings of God even if it’s kicking and screaming and if you still resist, then it is better you not share the earth with the deserving children of God.
I went to meetings of the local group RSVP where they sent messages out at the holidays to remind people that if you see scene friends.. NOT to go say hello, just walk on by. They are so afraid of being outed or having to explain to someone how they know you. This is paranoia driven by a community so closed to anything “worldly” that fear dominates. My hat goes off to the brave souls that continue to live how they want even under such conditions.
Ever heard of the Constitution Restoration Act? Read this: “The most bluntly theocratic effort, however, is the Constitution Restoration Act, which Brownback co-sponsored with Jim DeMint, another former C Streeter who was then a congressman from South Carolina. If passed, it will strip the Supreme Court of the ability to even hear cases in which citizens protest faith-based abuses of power. Say the mayor of your town decides to declare Jesus lord and fire anyone who refuses to do so; or the principal of your local high school decides to read a fundamentalist prayer over the PA every morning; or the president declares the United States a Christian nation. Under the Constitution Restoration Act, that'll all be just fine.”
Not scared yet?
How about the VAT? “Every Tuesday, before his evening meeting with his prayer brothers, Brownback chairs another small cell -- one explicitly dedicated to altering public policy. It is called the Values Action Team, and it is composed of representatives from leading organizations on the religious right.”
“The Values Action Team unites conservative members of Congress with pro-family coalitions by establishing legislative goals, identifying key tasks for Members and coalitions to perform, and executing action items that would lead to conservative victories. VAT has successfully followed this model, achieving pro-life/pro-family victories since the 2nd session of the 105th Congress.”

From the Rolling Stone article, “Since Brownback took over leadership of the VAT in 2002, he has used it to consolidate his position in the Christian right -- and his influence in the Senate. If senators -- even leaders like Bill Frist or Rick Santorum -- want to ask for backing from the group, they must talk to Brownback's chief of staff, Robert Wasinger, who clears attendees with his boss. Wasinger is from Hays, Kansas, but he speaks with a Harvard drawl, and he is still remembered in Cambridge twelve years after graduation for a fight he led to get gay faculty booted.”
Do NOT underestimate this man. He is dangerously and quietly stealing your right to live how you want and even further your right to even remain FREE. So.. he doesn’t like gay people and he’s even fighting laws that would strengthen hate crime legislation. He doesn’t want women to have control over their bodies, so abortion is out. Stem cell research will send you straight to hell is his basic feeling on the matter but…
HEY…. There is an upside for our community… those of us that own slaves… take a look….
“Homosexuality may not be sanctioned by the Bible, but slavery is -- by Old and New Testaments alike. Brownback thinks slavery is wrong, of course, but the Bible never is. How does he square the two? "I've wondered on that very issue," he says. He tentatively suggests that the Bible views slavery as a "person-to-person relationship," something to be worked out beyond the intrusion of government. But he quickly abandons the argument; calling slavery a personal choice, after all, is awkward for a man who often compares slavery to abortion.”
Hmmmm.. Maybe there is hope for Senator Brownback after all.. hmmm???? I tell you what.. I sure would like to have a few minutes with this man on MY CROSS…
Kiss kiss
