What a great day.. FINALLY I get see Montauk

Aren't they a gorgeous couple.

After the wedding we had to rush off to a call for Charles and couldn’t attend the wedding reception. I was really pissed off about that, having waited nearly a year for jason’s wedding, I wasn’t too happy about being cheated out of the “fun part”. I thought about finding someone else to go home with but I really didn’t know anyone else at the wedding. I was in one of those “silent moods” in the car and Charles kept reaching over to tousle My hair. He LOVES to do that and I hate it but I rarely say anything because I know he loves to run his fingers in My hair as We drive but when I’m sulking and pissed off, it’s not a good idea.

Charles of course doesn’t let THAT stop him. If he can’t have the pleasure of running His fingers in My hair, he can have the fun of fucking with Me when I’m pissed off for no other reason than because he CAN. I was having a conversation with a boy I am getting to know the other day and the subject was why I chose to marry a Dominant man instead of a submissive one. I told him because I find I need the balance to keep Me steady. On days like yesterday, I sometimes wonder what alien world I was visiting when I came up with that plan. Charles knows that if he keeps that up long enough and keeps poking at Me, at some point I will ease up on My cranky mood.

Yesterday that wasn’t working so he dangled a treat in front of Me. He mixed it with some mystery which is a sure fire fix because there is only one attribute that is stronger than My Dominance and that is CURIOSITY. It is the bane of My existence and had gotten Me into more trouble than I can even begin to list. Of course it’s also brought Me a lot of happiness but regardless of the end result, it doesn’t really matter because I rarely can not resist the call of My curiosity.

Charles knows I have always wanted to see Montauk so he said that he would take Me sight seeing and if all went well he had two surprises for Me in our exploration. That bought him a sideways look and “really, what KIND of surprise?” from My lips. The mood shifted at that point from cranky to curious and I began to try to get Charles to uncover the surprise. He is most excellent surprise keeper when he wants to be so I finally let that go and asked for Starbucks which was a sign to Charles that the mood was changing and there was a chance to save the day. I was able to get coffee while he made quick work of his service call and we set off on one of our explorations.

The end of Long Island is beautiful and first we went to Sag Harbor. I have heard so much about it even when I was in Texas so when the first glimpse of the pretty water up against the white sand of a public beach there I knew why. The town is very quaint and includes a windmill which I think is probably a present from the Dutch influence that seems to be so prevalent in the north. I don’t think the Dutch liked Texas much because I’ve never seem much from them there.

We drove on to an overlook and by this time I had completely forgotten about being pissed off and was climbing excitedly out of the car to look out over the water. Charles was pointing out that we could see Rhode Island from here just across the water. He’s always a wealth of information where geography is concerned and constantly scolding Me for not paying more attention to it. I just nod and think to Myself that I have no need to do that when I know that He will share his knowledge anyway, but I keep this as MY little secret.

We are driving through the different “Hamptons” and I’m thinking about how strange it is that a majority of the people that we see out and about have never had to work in their life or understand the premise of having to work to eat. I asked Charles if we could afford to live in Sag Harbor and he said that would be possible after My second book was published and on the best seller list. That is how he measures everything now. We can do this on your second book, that on your third book.. etc. etc. It’s his way to let Me know he supports My passion and to motivate Me to keep writing. It works.

Next we get to the first surprise as Charles shows Me on the GPS that We are at the very LAST point of Long Island. No more roads but the surprise soon looms ahead and as soon as I saw it I was hugging him. It was a real working lighthouse probably dating back to the early 1600’s. I LOVE lighthouses and this one was in excellent shape. We got out and climbed around looking at it. I was having a ball! Pretty soon Charles said he was hungry and it was time for the last surprise.

We drove back up the island a few miles and he turned on to a tiny road and a brand new restaurant popped up ahead. It turns out that the Inlet Seafood Restaurant was one of his accounts. He said it was a kind of a co-op owned by several of the fishermen in the area. They bought the land years ago at a really great price and then later built this restaurant. We went out to the most PERFECT table on the deck and the view was just unbelievable. We ordered some locally made beer and had a most excellent dinner of seafood. The Maitre D suggested this raw tuna salad (finn is gagging now .. lol) called a Poke salad made with fresh tuna, this crunchy seaweed I’ve never tried before, avocados all mixed up in a wonderful sauce that I couldn’t quite nail down but had a hint of ginger. Then I had a wonderful pumpkin crab soup and some fried sea scallops with freshly made French fries. Charles had herb crusted fluke ( I’ve never tried this fish but it was delicious) with sugar snap peas which he shared with Me since he knows I love them. We sat there just talking and agreeing that it was a most wonderful dining destination and which friends we would like to bring there. Charles suggested that maybe we could invite jason and sue to make up for missing the reception. It was getting close to sunset and I suggested we watch it but Charles had one last surprise.

We paid our bill and hopped back into the car and Charles brought us to another beach overlook and we pulled in quickly and went to lean against the front of the car to watch “El Set”. Other people were pulling over too and got out to watch as well. Some girls asked us to take a picture and we did so they took one of us as well.

We did the count down as the sun did the last little “pop” and sunk below the horizon and celebrated it with a kiss. I let Myself just quietly reflect on how happy I am. I have some problems but they are nothing compared to what others are dealing with and this wonderful day and I am thankful for the blissful gift.

Today, I saw My wonderful jason get his hearts desire and shared the rest of it exploring with MY heart’s desire. What more can I ask?

The happy day arrives.. Share Jason's wedding with Me

I can remember walking down the street one wonderful fall evening in NYC with jason. He and I had just had a nice dinner and we were "moseying" down the street as jason told Me what his dreams were of finding his perfect partner to build his life with. Well, he found her and this wedding day is the culmination of that hunt and the beginning of their new life together.

Yesterday was the big day. Jason’s wedding, and what a wonderful celebration of a day it was. The Universe seemed to cast its approval upon this joining of two wonderful people in matrimony by sending out a shining sun and cooling the air with a gentle cool breeze. The gloriously beautiful day still couldn’t compete with Jason’s smile as he saw and came over to greet Me. I think of all the things that affected Me yesterday it was his infectious smile.

Charles and I got there just in the nick of time and I was worried about being late. Charles was on call so I was praying that we would make it through getting situated and the wedding ceremony. I think Jason cheated again like he always used to and fibbed to Me about the actual time the wedding started.. lol. The important part is that we made it and Charles made it through the ceremony without getting paged.

Many people were milling around and Charles and I found a spot to stand and await the ceremony. Jason and sue were busy at first taking pictures but pretty soon Jason broke away and I called him over. His smile when he saw Me was worth every mile we drove to get there and the highlight of our many years of friendship for Me. If you are blessed with being able to see an aura, Jason’s was gold and shining and his eyes were gleaming with delight and excitement, not just because he was getting married but that all these people so precious to him had come to share it with him.

I hugged him and introduced him to Charles. Amazing that through all the times of our friendship these two important men in My life had never met. Jason shook his hand and told him that he was glad to finally meet him. I talk about Charles a lot to jason and visa versa to Charles about jason. Charles knows I will love him also. Jason was there for me, being a good friend in tough times and never ever wavered. I know that Charles appreciates that in the same way he appreciates the support that finn and lethrs offer Me.

I asked Charles to take a picture of us and after he took it I gave jason a hug and waved him off to go enjoy his fans.

But first, jason called the wedding photographer over to get a picture of he and I. After we visited for a moment, Jason grinned and said he wanted to go over and listen “to the string quartet he paid so much for.”

I laughed and amused Myself watching him wander around and visit with all his friends. I think as most couples look back on their wedding day, the thing they regret most is that it raced by so quickly and they were so busy that they weren’t really “present” for it. This certainly can’t be said of Jason and sue. I got the feeling that they were relaxed and in a great mood. Neither one of them seemed nervous at all, just happy and excited to be enjoying the beautiful day with friends and family. I’ll bet either one of them could list most everyone that was there if asked. Jason was wearing the cutest grin all day and it was catching because as he moved through the guests they all seemed to be wearing it as well.

I think it was great that the couple was out visiting with people before the wedding. It was especially good for Me because Charles got a call and We had to miss the reception. The call was in Montauk and so far that we couldn’t make it back in time to enjoy any of the reception. Lolita and boymeat were there but I have only met them a few times while out with jason and I didn’t feel like I knew them well enough to ask for a ride home.

I was looking forward to the wedding so much because the relationship I have with jason has such special meaning and is unique. I had also never been to a jewish wedding and was really curious. I was so impressed and I have to say that it seemed so down to earth. I loved watching the facial expressions of the Rabbi. She was wonderful and her words had so much meaning. Jason can be a bit of an imp and she had him under at least a modicum of control with a humorous smile. He was dying to get his hands on his new bride and was only barely containing the urge to cart her off.

As the ceremony got underway I found this enormous wave of sentimentality come across Me and tears started to flow. Thank god I had a tissue in My hand because I was having a bit of trouble with hay fever. The tears were of joy not sadness and mostly because I know how badly jason wanted to find the partner that would allow him to have everything he wanted and he was finally getting it. It just made Me so unbelievably happy for him.

Lolita and boymeat were standing directly in front of Charles and I. She was holding a length of red rope in her hands and I was delighted when she was called up to bind the hands of jason and sue with this rope as a part of the ceremony. I plan to ask jason about this later and the meaning of it. I hope the photographer was able to get a close-up picture of the binding of their two hands with the rope. Lolita looked as happy as jason was as she gave both jason and sue a kiss on the cheek and moved back to stand happily beside boymeat.

After this, sue’s sister sang the seven blessings in Hebrew and her husband translated in English. She has a beautiful voice and I truly enjoyed this part of the ceremony. I would be hard put to say whether I enjoyed that or jason stomping on the glass more. I am glad I was able to get control of My tears so I could focus on the wedding and not miss a thing.

I’m so glad I could be a part of sharing this day with jason…. The happy couple is off for two wonderful weeks in Hawaii for a well deserved honeymoon and vacation. I will look forward to hearing about that and seeing the pictures as jason has promised Me some time when he returns and things settle down a little.

Congratulations jason and sue!
