Yesterday, after excaping from work with the most wonderful "summer Friday's" rule, I stopped at the bread store at Penn Station and bought their delicious french bread, came home and stopped to get some excellent mozzerella. I have been pampering My first tomato letting it ripen to just the perfect stage so it was tasty and juicy. I was finally going to harvest it and serve it with My own basil and balsamic vinegar. See how huge it is! I came home and got My little dogs so they could play outside while I worked in the "fields". Then I went to the tomato plant to pick My first ripe tomato. I looked and to My disbelief it was GONE! How could this BE? Who would do such a DASDARDLY DEED?
I called Charles immediately to tell him we had been robbed. Of course he was VERY upset although I do think I heard a trace of relief when I told him that the only thing missing was My prize ripe tomato.
I think finn will be jealous to see how high My decorative corn is. Today I took out the snow peas that were finighed producing. I am going to set a trap for the tomato thief. If I find him, I'm going to use My new "spank someone happy" paddle I got at the Pride Parade.
