accomplishments of a daughter

today I'm back from a trip to Houston where I shared a milestone with My Daughter as She received her MBA in Business administration. She has worked so hard for this day and set goals that She met. I have mixed emotions about how she got to this point. Financially she paid for Her education by herself. An expert at finding money, she managed to get by on scholarships, grants and student loans. In addition to that she has always worked full time and so not only paid for the education but her apartment, her car, her clothing her entertainment. I helped out when I could and sometimes felt so very guilty that I could not give her the same opportunities as other kids whose parents were paying for school and their expenses as well. On the the other hand, I think there might be an upside to her accomplishing this goal on her own. I believe that she had to work very hard to get the education that I do not have. She has always been incensed that no matter how good I am at marketing and PR, I have always been underpaid and have missed opportunities to other less qualified applicants because I do not have a degree. Paying for it herself and watching Me struggle has helped her successfully reach her goal. I can't describe My pride as she marched so confidently across the stage, her copper hair glinting beautifully under the bright lights. She truly deserves the bright lights and now the world truly is her stage. Congratulations Daughter of Mine... I could never be as proud.

Mistress,

Let me say that as a student I am so very happy for both your daughter and yourself. Your daughter has my congrats and also my admiration for her accomplishments. Again I am so very happy for you both and also very proud of her, even though I do not know her, I take pride in knowing that she has accomplished such a noble goal.
